If the person being accused is guilty then they need to be prosecuted .
There is no excuse for any one beating on their spouse , rather they are male or female .
That is the legal stand point on it .
Personally I feel that before going to jail for an extended stay they should be beaten down by some one to show them just how it feels to be a victim . Being beaten by a significant other is no cake walk and has lasting effects .

Are my parents being unfair?
Ok so when my mum was ill in hospital my dad would got out all night every night getting drunk and leave me to sort the housework, take my sisters to school, deal with financial things etc. then when he did come home he would hit me and scare me and I told nobody. I am 16 years old and it seems like my parents are willing for me to take on responsibilities of adulthood but not the privileges. I am fairly mature for my age, and can hold my own pretty well.

My parents though I feel are too overprotective, but only when it suits THEM. I live in on of the roughest parts of the city (my french teacher compared it to the favelas of Rio de Janiero) but i have full academic scholarship to the best private school on the other side of town, so all my friends live far away. My parents do not give me a specific time to come in at and so this creates problems as I feel guilty if I go out in case it does ot suit them. Once I went out with 2 friends to go shopping, but we met 3 guys from my friends school so we went to see a movie, I called my dad said the movie came out a 9:30 and he said ok. Then I got home at 10 and he went mad as it was too late and then he flipped out when there were guys there also.

Like tonight for my friends birthday we are going for dinner and then going back to her house, my parents are insisting that I get picked up by a friend of my uncle who drives a cab who they, nor I have ever met, and now they say I cannot go as I cannot give an exact address of the house. Instead I suggested that I walked with a group of friends to the main road to make it easier, they will not allow me to walk like 100m in the dark in one of the poshest safest parts of the city, and yet I have walked the 2.5 miles from where I stay to the nearest shop, at 12pm, got caught in gang fights etc seen my best friend get stabbed and managed to cope just fine, all because my dad was too drunk to care, but when I want something I am not allowed. How can I convince them to be more fair??

It seems odd, but I’m a prisoner of my own conscience. I’m engaged, but it’s been anything but smooth and we’ve had loads of problems (to the point of making me want to give up). I’ve considered breaking up with her, but I can’t bring myself to because when I proposed I felt that it was an "implied promise" that I was going to marry her, and I won’t let myself go back on my word in anything. I also hate the thought of upsetting her.

Could the universe really be contracting?
I know that many scientists today say that the universe is expanding. However, I was thinking the other day in class about red/blueshift. I thought for a while and thought to look at it from a perspective of a contracting universe. My thoughts were that, what if the mysterious acceleration of the expansion of the universe is actually collapsing upon itself and the observed acceleration is due to the galaxies, etc. accelerating towards the center of the universe. This could explain some of the redshifts and blueshifts of galaxies in this way, any masses on the other side of the center of the universe would be blueshifting, any masses farther away from the plane perpendicular to the line drawn from the center to the Earth would redshift, any mass within a range to be a the surface of a sphere which the center to the Earth is the radius would blueshift and the remaining masses would redshift.

The collapse of the universe explains the acceleration that many of scientists have said is due to a theoretical "dark energy" without having to invent another form of yet unknown and undiscovered form of matter/energy as the collapse would cause masses closer to the center to accelerate much faster, given that the distance is so great that the difference in observable gravitational force would create a measurable difference in acceleration..

If you remember the highest degree is the highest number of possible zero points…

Jesus and the prophets were Jews. You are looking for a way to justify yourself and your friends and family, rather than seek the truth. You are looking to rationalize your prejudice and bigotry against Jewish people. It says in the Bible that the Israelites are God’s chosen people, and there is a covenant with them as descendants of Abraham. God does not forget his promises.
