go see sweeney todd, it’s bloody but it’s excellent! Or see the phantom of the opera (2004 version-with gergard butler, emmy rossum, and patrick wilson). I also suggest rent, dreamgirls, any of the austin powers movies, drop dead gorgeous (you will laugh so much), hairspray (2007 version), the simpsons movie, the blues brothers(do not see the second one) and chicago.
