I went with my nephew and I personally thought it sent the wrong message to kids.

Awesome effects and action scenes. However, there were a few things that were too fantasy for a fantasy, and some things that just didn’t make sense. (flame on a planet w/o oxygen?)
Scene From A Memory | Feb 04, 2010
It was good but just for the special effects, 70% of the plot was unnecessary in my opinion.

Some may disagree but i believe it is incredible.
I saw this film and it was a a little too long but it was great. It had amazing graphics!

Sometimes I thought there were a few scenes that could stand to be taken out, just random blurbs of Jake and N’aatiri makin out or something (not really but usually they had Jake and N’aatiri).
Overall: AMAZING but really long. The beginning could stand to be better, too. At the beginning i was like "Oh god. I can tell it’s gonna be a while till I understand what the hell is going on." But around an hour and a half in I admit it became amazing.

It was alright but not what i expected,i herd someone say he was waiting for technology to catch up and i gotta say,he was right, because with out it,this movie would’ve blown big time,i see a big resemblance between Avatar and Atlantis except of course its live action,i also think the movie had the success it had,Financially that is,because it was well advertised.
All in all im sure it didn’t disappoint to many people out there,it was good action,a good story but not everything i expected,it was predictible and like i said, felt like i was watching the same storie all over gain.

If you watched the preview then you didn’t need to see the film. Of course the graphics were good but as usual with American films it was all to predictable, good guys bad guys, love story, happy ending, yawwwwwwwn.

This movie sends a great message to the world about saving the environment, in a way that is visually stunning and very creative. There are also parts of this movie that portray some prominent aspects of whats going on with America and other countries right now. There are a few lines that will make you refer back to a political or environmental point of view.
If you are going to see it, I STRONGLY recommend you see it in 3-D. It’s so worth the extra couple of dollars. It is almost a three hour movie, and the 3-D made it spectacular throughout the entire movie. This movie has definitely set the standard for all other visually enticing movies to come. James Cameron (the director) hired real life botanists to help create the trees and plants of the avatar world, and they are al done in such great, beautiful detail and vast creativity. It took about 4 and a half years to make. James Cameron had this idea in his head before he directed "Titanic." The whole thing looks really realistic and again is a visual wonder. It’s not like things jumped at you all the time (like most 3-D movies do), but it just gave you the sense that this place was real, you were there, and just added to the pure genius that made this movie. Besides the artistic wonder, the story is also very well-crafted and enticing. I typically can’t stand sci-fi movies (I’m more of a drama-genre type of person), but I went to see what all the hype is about. I can honestly say that I enjoyed this movie so much, and I have to give this one a lot of credit. This is a movie that you must see to believe, and I don’t think any description can capture the meaning and wonder of this movie. It’s more than a movie, it’s a message to the world that questions how the human race can live with all the harsh things in this world, and how we can help create a peaceful future for all–regardless of ethnicity and political views because we are all considered the human race and we should stop destroying our one home, Earth.
Hope this helps!
