I think it has a lot to do with what is on youtube. But mostly I think it has to do with the kids that don’t know how to dance and they do it at the "emo" shows. I heard a story of two girls who were dancing to Silverstein in Target and someone said, "What the fuck?!" And they replied, "Ew, she is wearing a Bane shirt." When I look at this crap online about how slam dancing is for pussies it is always used with the phrase, "emo fags."

I don’t know how a push pit could be more brutal, I have seen more injuries from people crowd surfing then push pitting.

I haven’t seen any broken jaws, but lots of broken noses and people not being able to eat right for two weeks.

Am I wrong here? Please help! (Easy 10 points)?
I have an Honda Civic that I purchased in Feb 09 brand new as my first car. I have put 15,400 miles on it so far. My mother wants to go on a trip to visit family because a relative just past away , but she doesn’t have the money to rent a car. Round-trip we would be traveling a total of 640 miles. I am sooo paranoid about putting miles on my car though since I’m the one that’s paying for it and the maintenance. Am I being unreasonable? This has caused arguments between my brothers (who live in the city she wants to go to) and I because they said I’m being selfish my not letting my mother use my car. IMO they don’t know what it’s like to own a brand new car bc they always purchase used vehicles with lots of miles already on them. What do you think? Thank you!

Note: My mother has her own car but bc of numerous trips to visit family she has put 160,000 miles on it already and it’s not in the best shape (04 Kia Optima).

I can understand being protective of your new car… I really can. I bought my own very first brand new car a couple of years back and I absolutely hated putting miles on it.

Your question is unclear… are the both of you going? If so, why not rent a car together if you are… or pay for your mother to rent a car if you are not going and can afford the rental. It’s not that expensive… less than 100 bucks for peace of mind. Perhaps your brothers can help out. In the end, though, 640 miles isn’t going to make or break your car. At most that’s two weeks driving. Is the loss of that two weeks warranty going to harm your car?

Your mother’s car is getting miled out. I can certainly understand why she would not trust it to go that far. I would hate to see her broke down in the middle of nowhere… possibly putting herself in a position vulnerable to harm.

From my perspective, it’s a matter of priorities. Which is more important… your new car or your mother’s safety.

I’d lend my car if it were me. But it’s not.

I would say let her borrow it, but under one condition, she pays for the next maintenance on it. Like oil change, fluids replaced, tires rotated…ect If anything happens to it, like dents or big scratches, she should pay for that also.

640 miles isn’t that bad. My mum is putting two 10 hour drives to Canada’s boarder for me. That’s not even what she has already put on it for the drives she has already done. My husband, let his niece’s boyfriend drive his car for 20 mins and he got into a wreck and almost cause him to lose his car.

I completely understand that you DON’T want anything to happen to your new car. I would feel the same way. But think of the things your mum has done for you down through the times, there’s gotta be things she’s done.

I don’t know your mum, obviously. If she has a history of driving poorly, then I could see you saying no. If your brother’s are so caught up in a bunch, maybe they should drive down and pick her up or compromise and they come get her where she is and you go pick her up and bring her back, just a suggestion.

Good luck on your decision, it’s a tough one that can go either directions. Remember, it’s your car, you are paying for it, therefor it’s your final decision whether your brothers like it or not. You also sound like an adult, so you should be able to make your own decisions.

I agree with a few of these users on here - To be honest - if it’s a family member, then I think u should lend your mum the car - I know it costs money for petrol but u don’t realise just how important family is until u lose them. You need to give your mum support - sorry, I don’t mean your not supporting her but I would let her borrow the car anyways…. It’s a one off I’m sure it won’t hurt.

Hello there love gurus, who wants to help me in my situation? (longish story)?
This is about a girl obviously, and I think I am starting to like her. And she always seems so flirtatious towards me, she is always complementing me, calling me talented, funny etc.

But it is not all this easy.

I will take you back to the beginning. My good (we will call him #1) friend liked her, everyone knew it, but things weren’t looking promising at the time. Then along came another friend (#2) who suddenly expressed interest in this girl, whilst knowing that #1 already had feelings for her. So anyway #2 and this girl were getting along, and on NYE they both did a New Years kiss and things were looking good for them.

So by this time last week it seemed that they were together, although the girl appeared to be avoiding #2, and he was not happy with this. None of my friends were happy with the way she was treating him, but I won’t get into all that.

So long story not as long, #2 and this girl are done says #2, and from where I am standing things are looking good between #1 and girl.

Where do I stand? I think I am starting to like her, and she seems kinder to me than any other girl I know, but at the same time it is looking as though her and #1 may have a chance. I do not want to get in #1s way, he has liked her for some time and he’s my very good friend.

What do I do?

Am I a tenor or baritone?
Well, here how it goes…my vocal range lies between the C below Middle C to the C that is Above Middle C WITHOUT going to Falsetto. With Falsetto, I’m able to sing the whole 4th octave on my keyboard.
However, the high C that I’m able to sing is the maximum note that I can sing for now without cracking my voice and going into falsetto. Also, I’m 16 years and old and my voice is still changing, and as I can see with my everyday practice, my range keeps changing to higher notes :). So, am I a tenor or baritone? As far as I can check on net, the range from C below Middle C to the High C is the tenor range?

Originally in the back story of The Planet Of The Apes, the humans who hid away and avoided capture, made a final push to destroy the apes, the humans launched nuclear missiles and destroyed most of the world.

It took many many years for the apes to amass enough of troops that they were able to defeat and enslave the humans. So, Nearly 2000 years passed from the time the baby ape was born and the war, then another 1000 years passed until Charleton Heston made his Damn Dirty Ape discovery in the first movie.

Had you seen the movie where the humans meet the people with telekinetic powers you would have known this, I never can figure out which movie it was since it has been 10 years, but in the movie half that story was explained and the rest was explained in the novels and the short lived mini series that appeared on television.

I have no problem with the long answer. However, the necessary evolutionary changes that would be necessary for apes to be able to talk would be great, even with a talking ape to teach them, perhaps hundreds of years. The fifth film ("Battle For..") was a confusing continuation of the storyline. Only diehard Apes fans could swallow either it or the tv series that followed.

So here I was dreaming, right? And my brother and I were arguing (is it a dream?) and this little fat black kid comes up, shoots my brother in the chest at an angle of 30 degrees the center of the chest being the fulcrum point. Takes our oldest tv, and starts walking away. I grab the largest knife I can find, and I start going after him. Am I developing an eating disorder, and if so what has been causing it?
Well here lately this is really weird and I know it is. But I will go on crazy diets since I decided to leave the drunk, and if I wanna binge eat than I will chew food up and spit it out. Its really weird? Is this a problem. I dont really need anyone telling me how weird it is cause I am already ashamed enough. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I see myself as being fat. My ex use to tell me that sometimes when he was drunk. But if this is a problem what can I do? I constantly like the taste of things. I feel better when I binge eat but I try to stay away. I don’t want it to get any worse. I dont know why i see myself the way I do because I dont think I’m ugly. I mean is there a deep hurt I am not dealing with or something? maybe someone has a good suggestion or answer to my question. I am tired of this and wanna change and I dont wanna ever be in a verbally abusive realtionship again or get involved with my ex again. Please help thank you

sounds like an eating disorder to me. You feel a lack of control within your life and you are subconsciously substituting food to control instead of learning positive ways in which to implement changes.
