I'm considering leaving the Baptist Church for the Kingdom Hall of JW's but…?
Early Watchtower literature proves that the Society originally taught
vaccinations are a "direct violation" of God’s law. Do you recall any
mention of vaccinations in Genesis chapter 9?

From "The Golden Age" 02/04/31 page 293.
"Vaccination is a direct violation of the everlasting covenant that God made with Noah after the flood."

Why is it JW literature is constantly changing under "new light"?

From "The Watchtower" 11/15/67 Under questions from readers:
"Those who submit to such operations are thus living off the flesh of another human. That is cannibalistic." -In response to a question from a ready about donating/accepting organs.

But then in "The Watchtower" 03/15/80, a similar question was asked, and the answer was… "there is no Biblical command pointedly forbidding the taking in of other human tissue."

Just no blood right? What is contradictory however, is that Witnesses are now able to accept some fractions of blood products which indeed can contain diseases.
Don’t worry, I wouldn’t turn my back on the truth of God’s Word for these pagans, I just wanted to get their attention to read these disturbing facts. You ask them directly, they ignore you.

Why leave a true Christian church for a cult?

Hey, if you want to convert just jump right in including this bizarre stuff. Or else keep looking.

I hope you are not serious. JW’s are a cult. Their teachings are not based on biblical truth at all.

DON’T DO IT!!! there is a lot more "whacked-out" about the JW’s than their take on blood tranfusions and vaccination"s…. rather seek out a church of the orthodox theology type where they may get into a deeper study of the Bible if that is what you are looking for. Most of all, seek a deeper walk with Jesus.

It is good to make sure before you commit yourself, but those who critisize us fail to consider several important points.

True, some of teachings have changed over the years. However, the Bible likens Jesus’ Congregation to a body, and a body is a living, growing thing. So as the light grows brighter, we change some things to reflect the truths we are learning. (Proverbs 4:18)

Of major import though is the fact that our major core beliefs and teachings have never changed: God is not a trinity, Jehovah does not torture people forever, the soul that sins dies, the meek will inherit the earth, and so on.

The best thing to do is to compare the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses AND the teachings of the churches with the Standard, which is the Bible, and see which one matches.

The reason for the objection to vaccinations was that they contained blood products. Probably many of them don’t. However, vaccines are still pretty dodgy, and unless they start making ones which encourage the secretion of IgA and are completely non-xenobiotic, i’d give them a wide berth if i were you.

I have a great deal of respect for JWs in spite of being a mainstream Christian, but i’d be very unhappy if it turned out i made such a momentous decision and found that there was no Holy Spirit in their organisation.

I was about to say I will pray for you but I see you have the information on this cult.

everyone needs to read the question again……slowly.

this persons ok.

Keep up the good work. Expose the false teaching of the Jehovah’s and the mormons every chance you get. Make them think and question everything.

Good luck and may God Bless you

I have great respect for the people who are JW’s. They do all they can and even more than most to share the gospel as they see it.
All of the JW’s I have known, and I have known several, were not converts. They came from a family of JW’s. They were brought up with the daily teachings of that religion.
How many have left Christianity for Hinduism? A few who were not well-grounded in the Christian faith. How many have left Christianity to become a Mormon? Although some say that is not a change, most non-Mormons think so. More have left Christianity to become Mormons probably more than any other religion. Glenn Beck is a great example.
So, why do you really want to become a JW. Are you not grounded in your own faith? If you are not and no other faith has shown you interest or has not interested you, then I say GO FOR IT.
I’m not JW. I am greatly impressed with their dedication. I would never become a JW because I am well-grounded in my faith.
So, leaving the Baptist church for you is not an issue apparently. There are so many Baptist Faiths. If I were to join any, it would be the American Baptist. I could not join the Southern Baptist. The ones I know are filled with so much prejudice. They deny that. They say it is scriptural. My God would not create second class citizens.
Anyway, you do need to be well grounded in a faith. Being a good JW who realizes that you are saved by grace will give you a great path to Heaven.

JW is a cult choose Jesus instead
Loomis | Oct 22, 2009

JW’s were established in 1917.

JW is a false religion and the bible warns us to beware of false teachers.

Have you read the JW bible? It been butchered worse than the Protestant bible-and the JW’s call it "The Truth"

Don’t bother reading their propeganda.

When reading articles in the Watchtower and Awake that mention anything to do with science and medicine, please take the time to consider what the medical field and the general public thought at that time too.

Not only the JWs had second thoughts about vaccinations at the time.
