Tell me just why are men like this?
-Men like the strangest body parts on women, (Butt, Boobs, Hips)
-When I watch TV, a fat guy is there and nobody laughs. When a fat lady comes in, everyone seems to think it’s hilarious.
-I don’t know about you but when I watch a movie, the elephant, pig, hippo, etc. is always a GIRL, and the fox, cat, other skinny animals are the BOYS.
-Men didn’t think women were smart enough to vote, all the women were for work, babies, stuff like that. Men were considered most important.
-This hurts the most. I read bible verses that said things such as, "The birth of a daughter is a loss".

Someboy tell me why women actually need to prove themselves even halfway human beings?

It’s because men are INSECURE. Women work so hard. Giving birth, raising children, it’s really hard work. men would rather go to work, socialize, go to lunch and come home for a fresh cooked dinner. They wouldn’t be able to do what women do. It’s too difficult and they know it so they make fun of women so we won’t realize (or so they think) how afraid they are to do what we do.

This is not the case with ALL men. But for the most part.

PS.the fox is always the girl, lol.

Margo Lane | Jan 29, 2010

Good question But it happens both ways. Men are usually portrayed as BIG DUMB. DADDIES.
It all boils down to advertising and selling a product.
Also you must notice that many women never grow up. Even as adults the still have there little key chains with Little teddy bears or bunny rabbits on them. You would never see a man cary such things. Women use two hands hold a glass of water like a little child. They wear clothes that show every crack in there body, never a man. Most women try to seduce a man first and not to meet him on an equal basic and be friends first. They flip their hair ,short skirts, paint their face. What is a man supposed to do.but treat her as a object????

Is me or have women finally lost there minds?

what the hell is your problem? if i didn’t know

better i’d say over the years it’s finally come to

the point where women seem to be starting to

sound like they actually resent the fact they were

born a woman, i mean good christ will there ever

be just simple understanding between the genders?

that like it or not, nature meant us for a certain role,

if no ones happy with that then maybe instead of a

facial make over, we should all have sex changes

for a week, and may the best gender win, god d@mm,

why can’t people just accept them selves and do the

best they can with who they are, or simply do the world

a favor not to mention them selves, and end it all . . .

Have you sceen ( Breakfast on Pluto )?

Yes, and all I can say is that it is one of the most interesting movies I have seen in a long time. It doesn’t follow many traditional movie rules and is both real and surreal at the same time. It is heartbreaking and funny and Cillian Murphy is beautiful and charming in the movie.
If you like BoP you may also like "Intermission" also starring Cillian Murphy. I have no idea why I liked "Intermission", but I found myself strangely compelled to watch it repeatedly and I found it funnier and more enjoyable each time.

Shakespeare Shrinklets?
I think shrinklets technically need to be written in couplets, but these poems summarize longer works (Shakespeare plays), so I’m calling them shrinklets anyway :) .

Guess which plays they represent (which shouldn’t be too hard), and also I’d like some comments and opinions about them, please.

"Prophecy"

Not until the forest moves,
Should anything scare thee thus.
Not of man of woman born
Should make thee scream nor cuss.
Beware of only a singular man,
None other should cause fear.
But listen to our warnings, Lord,
With only a deaf ear.
For witches we, witches three,
From Hecate we come.
And only at the death of thee
Will our life’s work be done.
So dear Macbeth, come closer,
See your future in our eyes;
I wonder if you’ll ever know,
You’re headed for surprise.

——————————–

"Whether ‘Tis Nobler"

In the orchard slept I that day,
This much of it is true.
But never a serpent came where I lay,
I tell this all to you.
‘Twas your uncle, whose evil sears,
Who, poison in his hand,
Did drop some in my sleeping ears,
Like hourglass’s sand.
What for? Why so? You ask yourself,
Just listen to my tale;
For he did love dear Gertrude,
‘Twas love which made his virtue fail.
Avenge my name, my only son,
Make sure I go remembered
Not as the Serpent’s victim done,
But as the fiery ember.
Kill the man you now call King,
Kill the King indeed!
But leave your mother under God’s wing,
Let conscience be death’s seed.
Now go! I beg you,
Leave my sight,
Your mission has been told.
(If only you knew, as day knows night,
How your story will unfold!
For sadly you shall not survive,
Horribly you shall die
By the same damned potion he gave to me,
As I lay in the orchard that night!)

I read the first two lines of he first one, then I accidentally saw the name "Gertrude" in the second one. The reason they are easy is that I spent 38 years of my life being in a state of learning. I really can’t tolerate being taught anymore. For example, when anyone tries to teach me anymore, I get really mad and think of the people who hurt me, and still do. But anyway "Birnam wood come to Dunsinane is from MacBeth and quoted in "Otherwise Engaged" and Gertrude is the Mom in Hamlet. Leave her to heaven, worry about yourself, don’t worry about pleasing me. Strongly reconsider hurting me more.

An unfair balance between the four elements?
Lately I have been doing research about the classical elements — earth, wind, fire, and water. It’s come to my attention that I once thought that fire was the most powerful of the elements, and now it seems that water is. Water, after all, cannot be destroyed, only changes form and can weather just about anything. I don’t think that’s fair for a mountain being weathered by a bunch of water, I thought earth was strong and stubborn? Apparently not enough. It just doesn’t seem fair when I look on sites and they all talk about the elements and the balance between them but…it seems like complete B.S. to me — it always talks about how ‘water is the most powerful’ of the elements. How is that, what about the other ones? Fire isn’t even matter, it’s energy, and here I was all along thing fire was the most powerful, but oh, fire can be quelled with water. Even when people say fire vs. water is equal, it’s not. Water simply turns to steam, and goes back to being water. The fire is dead.

Also, I have noticed in certain natal charts that some people have more ‘water planets’ and stuff like that compared to others. Does that mean that, according to what I have read, that those people are the ‘most powerful’ people? I don’t exactly understand, and it is upsetting me. For example, the zodiac signs — that astrology stuff, pertaining to natal charts and all that jazz. Would people born under water signs and having planets pertaining to the parts of water be more ‘powerful’ than those born under signs of fire, earth, or air? It makes it seem like water has an unfair advantage of being able to do EVERYTHING. Oh yeah people, it’s all a balance. Is it really? I mean, if someone has more stars under water in a natal chart than someone else, does that mean they are stronger or more powerful or more…better?

um…no, not really. I have mostly water in my chart and I’m an emotional wreck. I get offended easy and fall into depression easy. I also hold grudges instead of let things go and I have low self-esteem.

Even though Im biased, i have to say earth is the most powerful element. without it there would be no planet, without it there would be no foundation for anything to grow and live
there would be nothing without the earth, we need need for every basis of life
it gives us stability
it is an immovable force that cannot be destroyed by any other element. + and earth can destroy water buy opening up and draining it out IF that ever happened.

Anyone else not sleeping now?
I have two boys. SInce the first one was born (almost three years agO) i haven’t slept a full night. I just dont get these babies who sleep through the night at a month old. Then I see questions with frantic parents who want to know how to make their 5 month old stop waking once a night! BOTH my kids still wake up on average 2 times a night.
Tonight was a really bad night. The oldest was up three times - once with a night terror and the other two times just because he CANT SLEEP!
My youngest (17 months) was up four times and cried for a solid hour one of those times.
I really feel like we have been cursed with bad sleepers. Other moms that I meet have no idea what I am talking about. There kids sleep the whole night through. If they have one bad night I hear about it for an hour… everynight in my house would be a nightmare in anyone elses.

Anyone up now with bad sleepers?

I used to have two like your they were like a tag team one woke up I would settle them then the other would wake and so on throughout the night nightmare. IT GETS BETTER. When they start school (seems a long time I know) I now get seven hours unbroken sleep. Keep your chin up I have been there no solid sleep for five years.

lulu | Feb 02, 2010

its just part of their life. my lil one hardly wakes up anymore, but sometimes she does wake up like 3 4 or 5 am and then we have to put her in bed with us to have her fall back asleep again.
pm80022 | Feb 02, 2010

hi, i feel so bad for u. my little one is 3 and normally she sleeps through however occasionally she will wake up once or twice through a night terror or being cold or just being awake. Have you tried controlled crying?i hated the idea of this and swore i would never do it but it was the only thing that worked. if they get used to you running to them everytime they wake up they will do. my girl knows if she wakes up and its dark that people are sleeping and she knows just plays with her teddies on her bed until she nods of again. Try not to get them into the habbit of being put into your bed, this confuses them and it is really really hard to get them out of it. do they stil take naps? try making naptime earlier or shorter so they are more tired before bed, also a warm milky drink before bed and a warm bath to settle them helped mine. hope this helps x
The_unknown | Feb 02, 2010

I have a non sleeper, he’s 18 months and generally wakes up about 3 to four times a night and usually gets in bed with me. On the rare occasion he does sleep through, I don’t! I used to be such a good sleeper and could sleep 12 hours at weekends, now I get about 6 hours, which isn’t that bad! I drink lots of tea in the day and get lots of fresh air and feel OK am just so used to it now!

Sudden whitehead breakout?
Has anyone else had a break out of white head type pimples? this last week my face has gone completely bumpy - not part was spared, with these tiny little pimples. They are not red or inflamed and the stuff in them looks more like clear oil than yellow pus. I can’t think of anything that I’ve done to cause it. I’ve tried drinking water, washing my face etc but they just reappear the next morning. I don’t know what to do :(

Finding a location in Berlin?
Hi

Is anybody Local to Berlin; or knows Berlin very well? I am travelling there in a few weeks and need to track a location down.

Ive seen the film "The Baader Meinhof Complex" and would like to see Ulrike Mienhof’s gravestone.
Ive been on Google Maps and tracked the location to:

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirchhof, Mariendorf,
Cemetery, which I believe is North of Tegel Airport.
Ive found U-Bhan stations around the area although they look a distance away. Does anybody know if the cemetery is in realistic walking distance; and how long it would take to walk from the nearest U-Bhan Station?

Also is the cemetery large; is her grave easy to locate. Ive tracked down its in "Zone A"? Does anybody know where that is in the cemetery?

Any help would be much appreciated
BT
UK

In reality Ulrike Meinhof is burried in the city of Stuttgart not in Berlin so you won’t find her gravestone there.
The burial was very controvers at the time the major of Stuttgart defended the right of the terrorists to get a burial place and said that with the dead even terrorists aren’t to be considered as public ennemies anymore

Why are so many people upset at the so-called fat cat bankers when the REAL fat cats are in Washington DC?
I am no fan of huge banks, but at least their executives EARNED their money and are being paid big bonuses because their board of directors and shareholders agreed to pay them out. Did you get a vote on whether or not some politician dick takes 30% of your paycheck away and spends it on BS pet projects, global warming parties in copenhagen, and fleets of limos, private jets, and entertainment for their lobbyist friends? I don’t mind paying for taxes if the money is spent responsibly for our military, police, firefighters, roads, and yes, even responsible social welfare programs. But I don’t need to be financing ACORN’s payroll, banker bailouts, stimulus spending, bridges to nowhere, and the lavish dinner parties that are hosted at the White House on a weekly basis. It doesn’t help that the bastards spending all this money don’t have their own money to foot the bills for some of these expenditures. Politicians in Washington aren’t exactly hurting for cash right now. If successful business people who actual make things and contribute to society don’t need all the money they earn as liberals never stop telling us, then I guess the folks in Washington certainly don’t either.

Personally, I think that every politician in Washington who has drafted an earmark, support an unfunded and bloated entitlement program, voted for raising our debt-ceiling, or spent taxpayer money on this kind of crap should get paid $0 a year for their work - their six-figure salaries can go to pay down the debt. And if they have a problem with that, they can get real jobs instead of feeding like parasites of the labour of their citizens while they arrogantly shove policy down our throats while insisting that we are stupid and that they know what is best for us.

YOUR THOUGHTS?
I’d like to take this opportunity to LoL @ Yahoo! for trying to put this question in the "Pets > Cats" category. :D

don’t forget that republicans blocked the bank bailout in ‘08 until they stuffed it with pork for their voters. Almost every politician has fought for at least one earmark. That’s how they represent their constituents. Individually, each politician is not elected to represent the entire country, they are elected to represent their district or state and sometimes that means getting or preserving jobs for their little area.

not all earmarks are bad either. Some are actually legit.

I think BOTH the bankers and the lawmakers are fat cats and need to be reigned in.

Liberals need antagonists. They always have to be tearing someone down in order to help someone else. They paint a picture that wealth is fixed and in order to help the middle and lower class, they must take from the wealthy.
Riot106 | Feb 02, 2010

Fat Cat Banksters ‘earned’ those bonuses by almost bringing down the global economy. They haven’t earned anything! Can’t you see that they are the ones calling the shots here? Their money and influence have taken over the gov’t and we all are fighting about abortion! Wake up, people. They don’t care about anyone but themselves and they have set themselves up pretty nicely over the past 30 or so years. Socialize the losses and capitalize the gains. For the rest of us, it’s heads or tails, we lose. If we don’t rein them in soon, this country will no longer be for all Americans, just for the rich ones.

"EARNED their money "

That’s totally just a matter of opinion. John Doe getting a C.E.O. job at the company because his father was once C.E.O. of the company is NOT "earned". It’s called nepotism and favoritism. John Doe’s father dies and he is left the business that his father made on Mafia money, is NOT called "earned", it’s called business as usual. And this NOVEL is not really a ‘Question’. It’s more of a rant. Let’s see what you have to say when some fat cat crooked business rips you off.

i am looking for a movie title?
ok, so when i was much younger i watched a movie, and my family cannot remember watching it.

anywho, the most important movie, that i must find the name of: It is not a recent movie, it is about a young boy, and he has a female friend, and they are being looked after by an older man (babysitting), the young boy finds the man asleep in a chair, and thinks that the man is dead, he hugs him, and there is some sort of transference of a power (sort of magical, i’m not sure). the boy recieves this gift and whilst at a carnival, he plays a card game, in which he has to find a certain card, after they have been moved, and he wins alot of money from this. later in the movie the girl gets her arm broken or dislocated and the older man puts it back in place…. also near the end, the man is walking past a house and he thinks it was his, or his friends old house, he see’s a girl on the street and looks at her, she looks just like his friend when he was younger. he asks if the girl knows her and she reveals it is her mother…. anyway i’m not sure if you will be able to help but thanks…

Hearts in Atlantis, starring Anthony Hopkins.

It is based on a story by Stephen King - the book itself is called "Hearts in Atlantis" but the story that most of the movie is based on is "Low Men in Yellow Coats". The story "Hearts in Atlantis" is a different story altogether, though each story in the book (there are several) are loosely tied together.
